Canoeing & Kayaking
Enjoy a leisurely paddle on your own around Beaver Lake. Explore the lake's edge and search for beaver lodges, turtles, herons and osprey. Rental is on a first-come basis. (Personal instruction for both canoes and kayaks is available upon request; call ahead to schedule. $25 per vessel.) Since Beaver Lake Nature Center reserves the right to close the lake at any time, especially during hazardous weather, please call the nature center for current information.
Please note private kayaks and canoes on Beaver Lake are permitted only on weekdays. During the weekend, the lake is open to rental boats only.
