* If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, this program will be a walk to track wildlife. If there is enough snow, registration is required beginning at 8 a.m. on the day of the hike due to
limited amount of snowshoes available.

Cross Country Ski Basics

9am – 11am

$10 per person

Cross Country skiing is great cardiovascular exercise and easy to learn. These clinics are for the first time skier looking to get in on the fun, or for new skiers looking for helpful hints. You must bring your own skis. Weather permitting.

Cross Country Ski Basics will also be offered on Saturday, January 14 and Wednesdays, January 4, 11, 18, 25 and February 1, 1:30-3:30pm.

Mid-Winter Blues Run

$17 pre-registration; $20 day of race

Beaver Lake is hosting its annual Mid-Winter Blues Run. The Nature Center has become a favorite location for outdoor enthusiasts to pursue fitness activities such as running. In an effort to encourage year round outdoor activity and help bridge the gap from fall to spring, Beaver Lake has organized this event. The run is 5K and it begins and ends at the Visitor Center, using nearby country roads. All proceeds benefit the Nature Center. The run is open to all ages and the pre-registration entry price of $17 ($20 day of race) includes a long sleeved t-shirt for the first 100 entrants. Winners will be awarded in various age categories.
